TRCC President Represents Chamber at JFCCT Meeting

On 16 September 2026, TRCC President Vitaly Kiselev represented the Thai-Russian Chamber of Commerce at JFCCT Presidents’ Council Meeting No. 8/2026. The meeting took place in the Regency Ballroom on the fifth floor of Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit.

Regional Economic Cooperation

The meeting featured remarks by H.E. Hari Prabowo, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kingdom of Thailand, on opportunities for closer regional economic cooperation. He presented Indonesia’s economic outlook and encouraged the international business community in Thailand to consider Indonesia not only as a major consumer market, but also as a long-term trade, investment and production partner.

The remarks highlighted opportunities in digital transformation, value-added manufacturing, electric vehicles, renewable energy, food and agriculture, the halal economy, logistics and tourism. They also addressed the potential for Thailand and Indonesia to develop more closely connected and resilient ASEAN value chains.

According to the meeting materials, bilateral trade between Indonesia and Thailand exceeded US$18 billion in 2025. The two countries are working towards increasing this figure to at least US$20 billion, and potentially US$23 billion, by 2030.

Participants were also invited to explore business and sourcing opportunities at Trade Expo Indonesia 2026, scheduled to take place in Jakarta from 14 to 18 October 2026.

Continued Engagement with JFCCT

TRCC’s participation in the Presidents’ Council meeting reflects the Chamber’s continuing engagement with JFCCT and the wider international business community in Thailand. This dialogue helps TRCC remain informed about regional economic developments and identify potential opportunities relevant to its members.
