Members of the Thai-Russian Chamber of Commerce (TRCC) took part in the Cycling Tour to Explore Lat Phrao 71 on April 6, 2025, a collaborative initiative aimed at promoting sustainable mobility and improving urban cycling infrastructure in Bangkok.
The event was led by Mr. Sanon Wangsrangboon, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, in cooperation with the Traffic and Transportation Department, Bangkok Urban Cycling Alliance (BUCA), Lat Phrao District Council, Lat Phrao Cycling Club, and local community volunteers.
The cycling route covered key roads in the Lat Phrao 71 area, including:
🎯 The main objectives of the ride were to identify challenges in existing cycling routes and to support plans for improvement, making them more convenient and safe for everyday use. The initiative aligns with efforts to encourage cycling as a sustainable alternative for short-distance urban commuting, especially when connected to MRT stations and public transit.
BUCA — Bangkok Urban Cycling Alliance — plays a key role in this mission. It is a civil society network working to make Bangkok a livable city by creating safe, accessible, and people-friendly streets, while encouraging a culture of sustainable urban travel.
