TRCC Hosted JFCCT Presidents’ Council Luncheon Meeting No.02/2026 (25 February 2026)
On Wednesday, 25 February 2026, the JFCCT Presidents’ Council Luncheon Meeting No. 2/2026 was held at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Riverside Hotel, Bangkok (Ballroom 3, 2nd Floor). The meeting was hosted by the Thai-Russian Chamber of Commerce (TRCC).
The luncheon brought together Presidents and representatives of JFCCT member chambers, along with Executive Directors, for a practical and constructive discussion on current priorities and the 2026 business agenda.
Vibeke Lyssand Leirvåg, Chairwoman of JFCCT, delivered opening remarks and shared an update on JFCCT’s ongoing work and key priorities for 2026.
Marcelo Souza, President Thai Brazil Chamber of Commerce, provided an overview of Thailand’s international trade landscape and global market trends, including developments relevant to free trade agreements (FTAs). He also invited chamber members to an upcoming JFCCT discussion session featuring Dr. Kiat Sittheeamorn (scheduled for 12 March 2026).
The meeting also featured remarks by Ms. Larisa Chernyshova, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Thailand, highlighting the steady development of Russia–Thailand relations. She noted the upcoming 130th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2027, and emphasized the importance of tourism and cultural cooperation, including the “Russian Seasons” initiative in 2026.

In addition, participants received committee updates across several focus areas, including Tourism, International Trade, Digital Economy / ICT (digital platforms, AI, data centres and sustainability), Workforce & Skills (including training initiatives such as Artinian Academy), and Member Support topics such as E-Work Permit and VAT Refund.
