On October 8, 2024, members of the Thai-Russian Chamber of Commerce (TRCC) participated in an online business meeting focused on expanding international cooperation between the Rostov Region (Russia) and Thailand. The event, which was aligned with the national project "International Cooperation and Export," aimed to promote regional business support and foster cross-border collaboration.
The event was hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rostov Region and featured the presentation of Rostov's economic potential to Thai business representatives. Participants included entrepreneurs from both Rostov Region and Thailand, as well as representatives from federal and regional business support institutions and public organizations.
The welcoming address was delivered by Dina Erdyneeva, Consultant of the Trade Representation in Thailand.
According to Elena Fedotova, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Rostov Region, trade between Rostov Region and Thailand more than doubled in 2023, growing 2.3 times compared to 2022. In the first half of 2024, this trend continued, with Thailand accounting for 1.3% of Rostov's foreign trade.
The business session also included a valuable networking opportunity, connecting TRCC members with key regional players. This event marks a vital step toward strengthening economic ties between Russia and Thailand.
